Launched in 1996, Yu-Gi-Oh is a Japanese manga series that has taken the world by storm, spawning a slew of television series, video games, card games, and now, Pop! Vinyls.
Yu-Gi-Oh! tells the story of Yugi Mutou, a shy young boy who enjoys all kinds of games, but is often bullied. One day, he solves an ancient riddle known as the Millennium Riddle, which causes his body to become host to a mysterious spirit with the personality of a gamer.
From then on, whenever Yugi or one of his friends is threatened by those with darkness in their hearts, this other Yugi shows up and challenges them to dangerous shadow games, which reveal the true nature of someone's heart, with the losers of these contests often subjected to a dark punishment called the Penalty Game. Whether it be cards, dice, or board games, he accepts challenges from anyone, anywhere.
