Released in 1950, Cinderella was the film that essentially saved Walt Disney Studios from bankruptcy. It tells the story of, you guessed it, Cinderella, who lives a less than perfect life after losing her parents at a young age and is now abused by her stepmother and stepsisters. In true Disney style, she is “saved” from this life by Prince Charming.
However, before Prince Charming fell in love with Cinderella, she received a visit from the fairy godmother, who gave her hope. After her evil stepsisters ruin her pink dress, the Fairy Godmother transforms the remaining tatters into a stunning blue dress for the ball.
