This is a bird that loves to eat, so keep an eye on your pizza. Chica stands 4.7 inches tall, carrying her companion, the pink cupcake, on a round silver tray while resting her other hand on her hip. She has a yellow fur costume, magenta eyes and wears a bib decorated with pink confetti triangles and the phrase Let's Eat in bubble letters. Sharp steel claws extend from its yellow feet, its yellow beak is open showing a set of lower teeth. At the top of its head is a tuft of yellow feathers. The exterior of her double-walled planter shows Chica's hands reaching out of the restaurant's air vent. The interior represents the night watchman's office.

Shortly after the game's release in 2014, it gained cult status and quickly evolved into a complex fictional universe with lore and various spinoffs.
