An evil fusion of Batman and Atrocitus, born from the Dark Multiverse, Batrocitus allied himself with the Dark Knights of the Batman Who Laughs to attack Earth-0. After their victory, he was tasked with monitoring New Apokolips, a hellish world where most of the remaining superheroes are imprisoned. Planning to free the superheroes, Wonder Woman, Batman, and Harley Quinn crash-landed on the planet. Batrocitus and the Dark Knights went to investigate. There, they found Jonah Hex, an undead zombie, just as the gun-toting zombie detonated explosives, destroying them all.
